How to fix when the AirDrop share menu disappears

The AirDrop share menu may sometimes disappear on macOS and all items in the menu vanish as shown in the screenshot below.

Most problems with a third-party app are solved by reluanch the app in the System Settings. However, default apps of macOS (like AirDrop or Mail) cannot be turned on and off.

You can turn on the AirDrop menu with the method below.

Activate the AirDrop Share Menu via Terminal

To fix the AirDrop share menu, open the Terminal and enter the following command:

pluginkit -e "use" -i "com.apple.share.AirDrop.send"
